Love

I was asked
whether it were better
that one had love yet lost it
or that one never had it.
I answered
that neither is better than the other
and that I choose love itself.

One cannot argue about homosexuality against those who hold conservative Christian teachings.  According to those teachings, Adam and Eve sinned against God when they disobeyed him and ate of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.  This sin perverted mankind's nature.  Though mankind is not guilty of their sin, each generation inherits this corruption.  This corruption is why mankind is inclined to sin and why flesh contends against spirit.  Those Christians explain that homosexuality never comes from God but comes from mankind's corrupted nature.
